Before DayMindXPression, there was DS NETS. DS NETS is my oldest website that I still maintain on a daily basis. The website is news-based, and I post little news articles called "news abstracts" after reading two different news articles. This website started out to be a little project, where I was able to write something on a daily basis (Think of it as a substitute for a diary). My grammar improved over the years as I grew more accustomed in reading various news articles and writing a condensed abstract of the news stories. From this habit I am now more knowledgeable of current events than most of my friends, and I have a little more understanding on the nature of how the world is changing. So far DS NETS has been a website centered on news abstracts, but I have decided to expand its contents to include news commentary and guide to news. These goals might be a little alien to most people, but I have discovered through my continuous immersion in the pool of news articles that there are many problems within the news business. A lot of news in the 24 hour cable news network is sensationalized, and many news stories are repetitive, providing no new information about an on-going event. Through the new goals I plan to write articles that would guide the reader on avoiding the news spin and get a much cleaner perspective on current events without the sensationalized fats. To accommodate my new goals I have been working on DS NETS for a couple of days now, and the progress has been made, such that I will be releasing a new version of the website on the end of this month. Wish me luck on these new endeavors!
